Winter Park Flyfisher is now offering a third hosted trip to Colombia in February 2025! We will primarily be flyfishing for Giant Peacock bass and the possibility of Payara fish.
Now bear in mind, Winter Park Flyfisher owner, Jeff Ehlert, has not yet visited this flyfishing destination personally, so it is what we’re calling “an exploratory hosted trip”. This means that we make no guarantees about the claims that the lodge has made about their accommodation or fishing operation, but we feel good about the communication with the owner and want to give this destination a chance. If you’re also willing to “test out” a new destination with us, then we welcome you to join us!

About Bluewater Junkies:
Our camp is located in a beautiful natural reserve along the banks of the Tomo River, in Colombia. This exceptional environment spans approximately 5000 acres of nature, offering an ideal setting for peacock bass fishing. The low fishing pressure in this area significantly increases the chances of catching some good specimens.
Within our reserve, we have 12 private lagoons, each providing the perfect habitat for peacock bass. Our team is fully equipped with boats and trained staff to ensure a memorable fishing experience. In our operation, two fishermen will share a boat for greater comfort during the fishing day.
Regarding our facilities, we have 6 cabins that offer a tranquil and comfortable environment for up to 12 anglers. Additionally, we provide a deck overlooking the river, WiFi access, a relaxation area equipped with hammocks, and a well-equipped kitchen. Our camp can accommodate up to 12 fishermen.
