Jeff Ehlert, owner of Winter Park Flyfisher, and his family have just returned from our exploratory hosted trip in Colombia (February 2025), where we primarily flyfished for giant Peacock Bass, Payara, and Catfish. It was an amazing adventure, and we have Manuel with Bluewater Junkies, the farm owner, Edgar, farm manager, Camilo, and all their guides and staff to thank!

Peacock Bass Heaven Adventure: Hosted Fly Fishing Trip to Colombia from February 4-11, 2025 (Note: you can view this section for reference about the Tomo River trip; details for 2026 to come.)

About Bluewater Junkies:
Our camp is located in a beautiful natural reserve along the banks of the Tomo River, in Colombia. This exceptional environment spans approximately 5000 acres of nature, offering an ideal setting for peacock bass fishing. The low fishing pressure in this area significantly increases the chances of catching some good specimens.
Within our reserve, we have 12 private lagoons, each providing the perfect habitat for peacock bass. Our team is fully equipped with boats and trained staff to ensure a memorable fishing experience. In our operation, two fishermen will share a boat for greater comfort during the fishing day.
Regarding our facilities, we have 6 cabins that offer a tranquil and comfortable environment for up to 12 anglers. Additionally, we provide a deck overlooking the river, WiFi access, a relaxation area equipped with hammocks, and a well-equipped kitchen. Our camp can accommodate up to 12 fishermen.
