Redfishing Spring Adventure: Hosted Fly Fishing Trip to Laguna Madre in Texas, May 23-26, 2024

Hosted Fly Fishing Trip to Laguna Madre
The trip will begin with a flight to Harlingen, TX on Thursday, May 23 where we will then drive to Arroyo City, TX to our lodge. You’ll have time to get settled into your room and get ready for dinner. The next morning, the guides will pick us up on the dock in the back yard to take us fishing for the day. The morning usually consists of casting to tailing fish until the sun gets higher. At this time, we usually move into the crystal clear waters to sight cast to schools, singles and doubles. You may also cast to Sheepshead and giant Black Drum. We will fish 3 full days leaving for the airport on Sunday, May 26 after a full day of fishing. It is usually easy to make it home at a reasonable hour Sunday night if you are traveling to Denver or another major hub.
Your cost is $1900/person (based on double occupancy).
YOUR LAGUNA MADRE TRIP INCLUDES:
- Ground transfers to Harlingen Airport to lodge and return
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner (packed lunch on boat – upon request sodas, bottled drinking water, fresh juice).

Winter Park Flyfisher owner, Jeff Ehlert, took his son, Jordan, on this grand flyfishing excursion in February 2022 to celebrate Jordan graduating from college. Jeff was so impressed with Tarpon Caye Lodge that he struck up a partnership with its owners to host future trips. The first hosted trip in April of 2023 to Belize was a success, and we’re taking reservations for the next trip in April 2024!

Looking for a bucket list trip to the Permit capital of the world? If you love it like we do, you may turn this trip to Belize into an annual saltwater pilgrimage.
Join us at Tarpon Caye Lodge for 7 nights and 6 full days of fishing in the beautiful waters of southern Belize. Fly fish for Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit and Snook. Other species you can catch include Barracuda, four to five species of Jacks, Yellow Tail Snapper, Mutton Snapper, King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel and Bonitas.
